Bibliography and Project

Posted by gninja on April 11, 2007

As promised, I’ll continue to post a manuscripts bibliography as I edit and add to it. Here’s the latest incarnation:

bibliography_medieval_manuscripts.doc

In the following weeks, I’ll be tinkering with a paper which I’m presenting for the Guild of Book Workers here in NY. The paper deals with a manuscript of John Gower’s Confessio Amantis, which has been researched almost exclusively by literary historians. I’m interested in the ways in which the miniatures that accompany the text in this manuscripts alter the ways in which readers access and understand the poem. So, over the next few weeks (perhaps longer) I’ll be addressing this manuscript in a series of posts.

For now, I’ll link to the Project Gutenberg page for the Confessio Amantis.
